National Airport Canopy & Signage.
Reagan National Airport, Washington DC

The scope of this project consisted of design and construction of a new area for the growing number of travelers at the National Airport.
On site work included:
- Post tensioning system
- Structural steel work
- Stainless steel work
- Snap fit arched stainless stell panels
- Architectural composite panels
- CCTV system
- Public address system and signage
The project posed several challenges that were successfully met during execution:
- Construction in an area under constant use by general public
- Extensive coordination with owner’s staff
- Very high accuracy ( < 1/16) of work needed for snap fit panels
- Working in a very limited space while maintaining emergency exits for passengers.
