Engine Company Replacement

This project was a collaborated effort to construct a new facility while maintaining and restoring the historic building facade.
On site work included:
- Face brick and stone masonry
- Concrete and brick work
- Wood windows and landscape work
- Emergency generator UPS Backup system
- Installation of three sliding poles with automatic shutters
- Installation of commercial kitchen and dining facility
- Complete Mechanical, Electrical, Dry|Wet Sprinkler systems
The project required special care, having a historic facade and being located in a busy area, posed several challenges that were met during its execution:
- Working under tight conditions while maintaining flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic
- Shoring and maintaining the historic facade in safe conditions during construction
- Coordinating material delivery with very limited storage space available at site
